Much is being spoken about Ilion's " water discoloration", and clear water equating to safe drinkable water; our elected officials have become "color blind" and appear to want the public too as well.

1. Clear water or water free from notable or objectionable color and aesthetics, does not equate to clean, safe or healthy water.
3. The Village Board (Mayor and Trustee Lester)
are on a full frontal propaganda campaign to convince rate payers and customers, that current Capital improvement projects in the millions of dollars, specifically the West Clark Street transmission line project
are the do all end all of discolored water and water quality issues; This is far from the truth and facts as presented by their own engineers.

4. What is becoming increasingly evident and alarming is Lamica and Lester's figures that they are tossing about, of saving millions and ultimately hundreds of dollars a year per household in rate increases, and at the same time addressing ALL water quality safety issues including lead abatement, High Chlorine use, a failing distribution system, lack of adequate corrosion control and treatment, and the continued presence of heavy metals.
I encourage the public to avail themselves of this and other information, seeking knowledge and the truth regarding their public water supply, and to not be led blindly by elected officials with hidden agendas, with false promises and hope. Ilion has endured this for decades; time to put an end to self-serving politicians and restore a government of, for. and by the people.
