Servants appear to continue in to down play the health and safety of water in our Village.
Again different answers and suggestion continue to be segregated by the servants, only offering certain information to handful of people. Again, at no time has there ever been a public announcement regarding the VB face book page as a source to obtain information regarding THE VILLAGE.
Lots of self ego tripping shares on that page....but worse they seem to have two pages!
But lets talk about the Times Telegram (which is the Village of Ilion officials media source)

"Lamica said the break occurred sometime overnight "..
"Lamica said the police department had been receiving phone calls about residents having trouble with their water pressure during the night. The police then received a “robocall” alarm from the clear well system signaling that the water supply had dropped"
Do the servants not have a Emergency procedure/Policy in place ? As Ilion's finest are not employed for Water Department issues, or their policies. They would not perhaps consider this an Emergency.
How many residents need to call before it is an emergency? Is it ranked by who the person is calling? Do we need to specify where the leak is? How many hours of water pressure issues are required for it to be an issue?
Servant lameca, contradicts himself “It was in an isolated area, where the break was,” Lamica said. “But it caused the whole system to go down with the water pressure.”
For those of us that have been dealing with these unsafe water issues, know logically it does not matter where the break was, but how much water was lost, that cause the whole system go down.
Enough with down playing the health and safety of the people! More importantly, this will be the third main break this month! Although only 2 were made to the public.
It is bad enough the 5 servants fail to realize the risk they put our Fire Department in or any other that come along to assist, with these water issue, lower water pressure. Least, you forget anyone's home has a fire, but I guess all you worry about there is if they have homeowners insurance, they fact in a court of law, the homeowners are responsible period, just another time where the servants always blame someone else.
Interesting , the board again misleads the public.

LETS SEE THAT MESSAGE AGAIN....this not found at any other information source

This makes no logical sense. Running cold water to let it clear, has absolutely NO affect on HOT WATER.
According to CDC:
B) If the pipe at the street (header pipe) DOES contain lead, lead in the tap water may be coming from that pipe or connected pipes (it may also be coming from sources inside your home).
Until the lead source is eliminated, you should take the following steps any time you wish to use tap water for drinking or cooking, especially when the water has been off and sitting in the pipes for more than 6 hours. Please note that additional flushing is necessary:
a. Before using any tap water for drinking or cooking, run high-volume taps (such as your shower) on COLD for 5 minutes or more;
b. Then, run the kitchen tap on COLD for 1–2 additional minutes;
c. Fill a clean container(s) with water from this tap. This water will be suitable for drinking, cooking, preparation of baby formula, or other consumption. To conserve water, collect multiple containers of water at once (after you have fully flushed the water from the tap as described).
3. In all situations, drink or cook only with water that comes out of the tap cold. Water that comes out of the tap warm or hot can contain much higher levels of lead. Boiling this water will NOT reduce the amount of lead in your water.

In the meantime, the news release asked residents to refrain from watering lawns, filling swimming pools or any other similar “unnecessary usage.”
“Anyone filling up their swimming pool or spas, they’re going to end up with dirty water and they’re going to have to buy more chemicals to clean it up,” he said.
OLD NEWS with a different spin

‘Nothing to worry about. The water is fine’: how Flint poisoned its people
"Asked to respond, the city said the water met all safety requirements and that it was continually monitoring for problems. “City officials also say the water is perfectly safe for everybody to drink,” the reporter told viewers.
But in fact there was a problem. A serious one. Flint’s new water treatment program did not include corrosion control. The staff at the plant had been told by the MDEQ that it wasn’t necessary. But this was breaking federal law. In the years to come, the question of whether the authorities omitted this knowingly or through a terrible misunderstanding of the law would be a matter of intense dispute. What’s more, the upgrades to the old plant were not sufficient to deal with river water, which was more corrosive and difficult to treat than lake water. Together, this was a dangerous combination."
