Some information here that can use some clarification. Where does Mr. Piseck (IDA) come up with a 10million dollar figure for the Transmission line? Estimates of B & L proposal were $19 million for Ilion alone, with the possibility being down to 14 million if other communities like Frankfort and Schuyler were to sign on as well. I also realize grants are still awaiting procurement. Can there be provided a break down regarding these costs, what each municipality would be responsible for what amount?
Also, who retains/ maintains ownership of this transmission line, and if communities invest in financing the construction of does this secure that they can tap in at any time or is the commitment made once officially signed on to be part of the 9.2-mile line?
Will there be late fees and or other costs for those who do not initially sign on to help finance the line?
Is the line a mute deal, if all communities do not agree to go forward? Ilion still has not made a formal agreement.
Will the IDA as lead agency and B&L address these questions and issues in submission of reports.
What financial assistance if any can be expected from MVWA itself regarding costs of the line?
