AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE VILLAGE OF ILION
and
SUE HALE
2016-2018
This Employment Agreement ("Agreement") is made by and between the Village of Ilion, a New York municipality, ("Village") and Sue Hale, (Sue). Both parties agree to accept the conditions of employment described herein.
Sue is currently employed by the Village as an Account Clerk and was appointed to serve as Deputy Clerk / HR Supervisor and desires to retain that position. In the event the Village elects not to reappoint Sue as Deputy Clerk / HR Supervisor, she shall continue her duties as an Account Clerk.
SECTION 1.
The Village wishes to continue to employ Sue as Account Clerk and maintain her appointment as Deputy Clerk / HR Supervisor, and she shall serve in both capacities at the sole discretion and pleasure of the Village, pursuant to New York State Civil Service Law, and shall perform any other duties the Village Board deems necessary.
Sue shall perform her role as Deputy Clerk ONLY in the absence of the Village Clerk and, while doing so, shall have the supervisory duties and responsibilities associated with the Village Clerk's position. [nthe event the Village elects to terminate this Agreement, then at that time Sue shall revert back to the sole position of Account Clerk, subject to NYS Civil Service Law, any necessary Union approval and applicable collective bargaining agreement then in force.
SECTION 2. DISCIPLINE AND DISCHARGE
As an Account Clerk, Sue is subject to discipline and discharge procedures pursuant to Section 75 of NYS Civil Service Law.
SECTION 3. SICK LEAVE
Per agreement with the Village, Sue will continue to be eligible for Sick Leave as defined by the IBEW Electric Department Contract in effect 1/2015 — 12/2017.

SECTION4. PERSONAL LEAVE
Per agreement with the Village, Sue will continue to be eligible for Personal Leave as defined by the IBEW Electric Department Contract in effect 1/2015 — 12/2017.

SECTION 5. BEREAVEMENT SECTION LEAVE
Per agreement with the Village, Sue will continue to be eligible for Bereavement Leave as defined by the IBEW Electric Department Contract in effect 1/2015 — 12/2017.

SECTION 6. HOLIDAYS
Sue shall receive the following thirteen (13) paid holidays:
New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Day, President's Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving Day, Thanksgiving Friday, Christmas Eve Day, and Christmas Day.
If a holiday falls on a Saturday, the preceding Friday shall be considered as the holiday; if the holiday falls on a Sunday, the following Monday shall be considered as the holiday.
SECTION7. VACATION
Per agreement with the Village, Sue will continue to be eligible for Vacation time as defined by the IBEW Electric Department Contract in effect 1/2015 — 12/2017.

SECTION 8. JURY DUTY
Should Sue be called to serve for jury duty, as certified by the Court Clerk, she shall receive her normal pay but shall remit any and all compensation received from the Courts to the Treasurer immediately upon receipt.

Per agreement with the Village, Sue will continue to be eligible for Life Insurance as defined by the IBEW Electric Department Contract in effect 1/2015 — 12/2017.

SECTION 10. HEALTH INSURANCE
Per agreement with the Village, Sue will continue to be eligible for Health Insurance Benefits as defined by the IBEW Electric Department Contract in effect 1/2015 — 12/2017.

SECTION 11. LONGEVITY
Per agreement with the Village, Sue will continue to be eligible for Longevity Pay as defined by the IBEW Electric Department Contract in effect 1/2015 — 12/2017.

Per agreement with the Village, Sue will continue to be eligible for Retirement Benefits as defined by the IBEW Electric Department Contract in effect 1/2015 — 12/2017.

SECTION 13. SEVERENCE PAY
Per agreement with the Village, Sue will continue to be eligible for Severance Pay as defined by the IBEW Electric Department Contract in effect 1/2015 — 12/2017.

SECTION 14. SALARY:
Effective January 1 1, 2016, the Deputy Clerk / HR Supervisor's base salary shall be $47,000.
Effective January 1, 2017 the base salary will increase by 2% to $47,940 Effective January l, 2018 the base salary will increase by 2% to $4 , 29
SECTION 15. EDUCATION
Per agreement with the Village, Sue will continue to be eligible for Education Benefits as defined by the IBEW Electric Department Contract in effect 1/2015 — 12/2017.

SECTION 16. HOURS OF WORK AND RECORD KEEPING
Unless otherwise scheduled by the Village, Sue shall schedule her hours of work to optimize Village services.
Sue shall record all her days worked, vacation days, personal days, sick days and compensatory time. This shall be presented to the Treasurer on a monthly basis.
As a salaried employee, Sue shall work a minimum of 2,080 hours per year minus any benefit time she is due during the calendar year.

THIS AGREEMENT COMMENCES ON JANUARY 11, 2016 AND EXPIRES DECEMBER 31, 2018.
